Your camping setup
Your saved setup and preferences stay in this browser’s local storage. They are not uploaded to an account or sent to Google Analytics. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics loads only if you choose “Allow analytics.” It helps us understand which campground pages are useful and whether visitors continue to an official reservation page. It can store analytics cookies and receive basic device, browser and approximate location information.
The events we send use page paths without search text, trip dates or other URL parameters. Reservation-link events include only the public Recreation.gov campground or campsite ID. We do not send saved camping preferences, and advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled.
You can turn analytics off here or through “Privacy settings” in the footer. This stops further analytics collection and removes this site’s Google Analytics cookies; it does not erase data already sent. We also keep analytics off when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
How Google uses information from sites that use its services
Connected services
Photos, availability checks and weather forecasts make requests from your browser to their providers, including Recreation.gov and the National Weather Service. Our hosting provider also processes requests needed to deliver this website. These services can receive your IP address and basic request information independently of optional analytics.
Reservations take place on Recreation.gov. Its own privacy policy applies when you leave pickycamper.
